We are really proud at Great Coates Academy that we are in the top 10% of similar schools for our attendance. Thank you to everyone for the effort they are putting in getting their children to school.

Over the summer holidays, four of our children took part in the Humberside Police Lifestyle Challenge. They raised £840 for the Grimsby Food Kitchen and Women’s Aid by walking across the Humber Bridge and holding a charity night at The Valiant Pub. During the charity night there was bingo, a name card and a cake stall. They also carried out a litter pick around the Willows Estate.

We are delighted to announce the team have now been nominated for the local Youth Acknowledgement Awards. This is a charity event run by St Andrew’s Hospice, to be held at Grimsby Central Hall on November 25th. Tickets for the event are on sale at £5. Details of how to get tickets will be announced shortly.

The school are incredibly proud of our four fund raisers and we can’t wait to celebrate with them on the night.
