Residential Visits

  • June 29, 2025

June saw two fantastic residential visits at Great Coates School.
We had our first ever Year 2 and 3 residential visit to Rand Farm. The children took part in a miriad of activities that happen on a Farm. The trouble was trying to fit it all in in two days. They mucked out the animals and fed them, bottle fed calves, held day old chicks, went on a tractor ride, dug up carrots, fed carrots to horses, made carrot cake and sausages and played on the adventure playground! No wonder the children were exhausted when they came back. The staff had a great time and can’t wait to go again next year.
We also took our year 6 children to PGL in June. The residential visit was a great success. The children really pushed themselves to do the range of adventurous activities on offer including abseiling, archery, rock climbing and the aquapark. They all had a fabulous time and the behaviour of the group of children was excellent.
Below are some photographs from the trips. Look out for more on our end of term newsletter.
