The school has gained the Silver Green Tree Award from the Woodland Trust. To gain the award our Eco warriors have planted trees, completed a litter pick and set up a recycling system in classrooms and in the lunch hall. They also presented an assembly to the school about recycling. Throughout the school, pupils learn about the importance of plants and trees and visit places where they learn about the environment.
We have lots of plans next year and will be taking part in the Woodland Trust Green 15 Challenge. The challenge marks 15 years of the Green Schools Project and we will be doing lots of activities to spread the word about the importance of trees and nature to gain our Gold Award!
